New Building, Same Service

We hope to open in our temporary building around the middle of April. We're aiming for the 14th, but we're still ironing out some specific details. The tenporary building is located just round the corner from Kirkhouse, it's at 79 Grassmarket, up Warden's Close (behind the Castle Rock chippy) and used to be part of the art college. This is where building three is located, just off the Grassmarket at the East End.

We'll be located on the first floor as you look at this picture, to the left is the dining room and the three windows to the right are where the kitchen will be.

This is the dining room, as you can see it's a big space, bigger than we have just now and it needs brightening up, but plans are well in hand to make it look a bit special.

It doesn't look at all like a kitchen at the moment, but by mid-April it'll have all we need to continue our outstanding service.

**UPDATE** 25TH March

We're well ahead of schedule, the painting is pretty much complete, as you can see it's made a huge difference. This is kitchen.

The dining room

We're just putting the final touches to the paint job, a big thanks to everyone who's been part of this over the past few weeks. You did an amazing job!

I'm delighted to announce that we now back open and fully functional!

The work was finished around the end of April 2008 and now the kitchen and dining room look like this;

Thankfully we have managed to retain the serene and joyful atmosphere we worked hard to build in Kirkhouse. The temporary building is wonderful, it's clean and bright and fit for purpose.

Please feel free to drop in for a visit, a meal, a coffee. You'll be most welcome.
